World coalition is an organization that has been united since 2002 whose goal is to achieve the abolition of the death penalty worldwide. We intent to blog about the concerns regarding the death penalty in the USA. We are interested to talk about this topic since the capital punishment plays a constructive role in the criminal justice system. This blog is going to be discussing the world coalition’s efforts to reduce the death penalty since it diminishes human rights and does not stop violence.

To start with, the world coalition argues why the death penalty and the need of execution could not be aligned with justice due to the fact of the statement of executions in the USA. As of the unfairness in the application with the use of death penalties in which innocent people could be wrongfully convicted. This drives the need for the world coalition to call the US to join the countries that have abolished the death penalty.

The world coalition indicates that the death penalty focuses on few people in the society without taking into consideration the risk of executing the innocent and how this diminishes a person’s right to life. As well as it triggers acts of inhumanity and cruelty which has no place in a civilized world. According to studies from the organization, race can influence which cases are chosen for capital punishment which increases the hostility caused because of racial discrimination and unfairness.

There is no credible evidence that the death penalty deters the number of murders or stops people from committing violent crimes which indicates that it could be sending a wrong message to our society that it’s the long-term solution to violence. The death of another person would lead to a larger dilemma and visit pain to another family. Families of murder victims are against that as they believe it would lead to the suffering of other families left behind instead.

To sum up, the death penalty does not provide an acceptable solution with all the concerns and complications it comes with. However, with the definitive conclusions from the world coalition on how the death penalty motivates crimes more than opposing them, this is pushing the World Coalition by taking human rights into consideration and moving forward into ending this brutal punishment all around the world.
